Start-up of the lift truck business
Korea’s initial domestic lift truck market was an open-import enterprise. In the 1960’s, Korea Machinery Co. Ltd. started to import assembled lift trucks as part of a nationwide equipment expansion venture. Initial product sales of this industrial equipment focused on large business communities, the armed forces and on state-run corporations. This ultimately led to a merger with Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd. In 1976, the Forklift Division begun trade operations throughout Korea to overhaul and sell this heavy equipment. By 1978, a forklift manufacturing plant was successfully completed. Continuous technical education became the new focus for enhancing quality and product development.
Propane forklift efficiency is pretty impressive because the cylinders containing propane could simply be replaced and the equipment can get back to work without losing much "downtime". It is unlike the electric lift truck where extra batteries must be acquired to be utilized while the original battery can take up to 8 hours of cooling time and 8 hours of charging time depending on the model.
Safety
As the propane lift truck has a sealed fuel system, it is a lot safer to work as opposed to the various kinds of lift trucks on the market. The propane fuel cylinders themselves follow strict national code specialization and are sealed to ensure optimum safety. Propane gas likewise works with less energy as opposed to CNG gas, therefore, if any accident takes place, there is a system where the fuel is turned off. This greatly lessens the potential danger and damage that could take place. Refilling options are also beneficial for the operator. If they would rather refuel elsewhere, the cylinders can be transported to a refilling centre. If the business prefers, the refilling could be completed on site instead.
